Pregnancy Testing

Symptoms of Pregnancy

The following are some symptoms of pregnancy. Confirmation of a pregnancy requires a positive pregnancy test followed by an ultrasound as many of these symptoms are common to other conditions. Click HERE to take our “Am I Pregnant” Quiz.

It is critical to confirm a pregnancy because many early pregnancies may end in a miscarriage.

What if I took a Home Pregnancy Test?

Don’t rely on a home test only. If you’ve taken a home test, there’s a good chance that it’s reliable. However, the accuracy of home tests varies. Let us do a free test for you in our clinic. Our tests meet industry standards and are 97-99% accurate.

If needed a blood test can be done.

How Far Along Am I?

You can make an educated guess based on when your last menstrual cycle began, but only an ultrasound can confirm how far along you are. Make an appointment for a free pregnancy test and ultrasound.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound can be used to detect and confirm a pregnancy.  Mend offers free limited obstetrical ultrasound scans. These scans are not intended for diagnosing abnormalities of the pregnancy or gender. They are used for the following medical purposes:

– Determine the viability of a pregnancy – is it progressing normally.
– Determine the pregnancy is not ectopic commonly known as tubal.
– Determine the gestational age of the pregnancy – how far along you are.

These are all important to determine what options are available and if unexpected medical care may be needed.

Sexual Health

We offer limited testing and treatment to women for gonorrhea and chlamydia. According to the CDC, Chlamydia and gonorrhea are the most common STDs, affecting more than 2 million Americans in 2020 and 50% of the new cases of STIs are among 15 – 24 year olds.

If you are considering an abortion, it is particularly critical for you to be tested for STI’s as these can spread during abortion procedures.

Call or text us to find out if you are eligible for free testing and treatment.
